Privacy Policy

Quick Summary
- Calculations stay on your device: the stone tools run in your browser; the areas, thicknesses, and prices you enter are never sent to us.
- No accounts:you don’t register or log in to use anything on the site.
- Email only if you offer it: we collect your email address only when you contact us or subscribe to updates.
- Ads & analytics: third parties such as Google may set cookies to serve ads and measure traffic, as described below.
Introduction
At StoneArmor (“we,” “our,” or “us”), we keep data collection deliberately small. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, and what choices you have when you use our natural-stone calculators, guides, and museum at stonearmor.com.
This policy applies to all visitors, wherever you are, and is written to align with common privacy laws including the GDPR and CCPA. If a specific right applies to you under local law, you can exercise it using the contact details at the end.
Information We Do Not Collect
The stone calculators are designed so that your project details stay private:
- Calculator inputs: countertop dimensions, slab counts, sealer coverage rates, thicknesses, edge lengths, and prices are processed in your browser and are not transmitted to, stored by, or visible to us.
- No accounts or profiles:we don’t ask you to register and we don’t build a profile of your activity.
- No cross-site tracking by us:we don’t follow your browsing across other websites (third-party ad networks are covered separately below).
Information We Do Collect
Email and messages: when you email us or subscribe to updates, we collect your email address and any message you send. We use it only to reply, or to send the occasional stone guide and tool update you asked for. You can unsubscribe at any time, and we never sell your address.
Basic technical data:like most websites, our server and service providers record standard technical information — browser type, operating system, referring page, pages visited, and a truncated or anonymized IP address — to keep the site running, secure, and fast. These logs are retained only as long as needed for operations and security.
How We Use Information
- To reply to your messages and send updates you’ve subscribed to
- To keep the site working, secure, and performant
- To understand, in aggregate, which guides and tools are useful so we can improve them
- To meet legal obligations where they apply
We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies, Advertising & Analytics
We use only the cookies needed for the site to function, plus third-party services described here. StoneArmor is ad-supported: we use Google AdSense to display advertisements, and Google and its partners may use cookies to serve and measure ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can manage or opt out of personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings. We may also use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate traffic; it does not identify you individually.
Information Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only where necessary with service providers who help us run the site (such as email delivery and hosting) under confidentiality obligations, or where required by law to protect our rights or comply with a valid legal process.
Your Choices & Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct or delete it
- Object to or restrict how we use it
- Withdraw consent or unsubscribe at any time
To exercise any of these, email support@stonearmor.com.
Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the limited information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but keeping our data footprint small is itself part of how we protect you.
Children’s Privacy
StoneArmor is intended for a general adult audience planning stone projects and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised policy.
